Ministries

The ministries of the Western Hills Church of Christ are designed to involve all of its members in the broad vibrant body life of the church. While we all have our personal and individual Christian services, a large part of the structural work of the church is carried out through our Ministry Organization. The church, according to scripture, is the body of Christ and as such is commissioned to carry out the work of Christ that he has left for us to do. It is our prayer that all, as part of the Western Hills Church family, will diligently work together as a loving family to faithfully honor and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. (Col. 3:23-24)

Below you will find stated the vision statement of the Western Hills Church of Christ and the Ministry Groups which flow out of this vision. Also included is the expanded ministry organization with the assigned Deacon responsibilities. This list of responsibilities is updated from time to time so please check the office for the latest revision. Each of the ministry areas are led by a group of deacons who are charged with the task of coordinating all areas under their responsibility. This includes; task definition, member assignment, budget development, training, providing needed resources, conducting periodic meetings to establish progress and plans, coordination with the elders, and providing periodic reports.

It is our hope that each member can review this material and find a ministry area that will fit your God given interest and strengths. All of our ministries need workers. After considering your areas of interest, we request that you fill in a Member Involvement Sheet. Following this, the Ministry coordinator of the areas chosen will contact you for working together with others in those ministries.
