Classes have been updated for the new quarter!

Sunday Morning

The Parables of Jesus - (Auditorium, Bill Wiley)

Our study this quarter we will be personally challenged by the teachings of Jesus through His masterful use of parables as a mode of instruction. The Bible is full of this type of teaching. Read carefully Isa. 6:8-10 and Matt. 13:10-15 and be prepared for an exciting study of the Parables of Jesus.

The Gospel of John - (Room 126, Roger Omer)

This class will focus on the facts and events communicated by the Holy Spirit through John that bring belief to the open and pure heart. Handouts and homework will be included as part of this class. Key verse: John 20:31.

The Prayers of Jesus - (Room 115, Jack Cummings)

I believe most Christians long for a deeper and enriching prayer life and the intimacy with God that should accompany our prayers. But few seem to find it. Desire is not the issue. Even those men who saw the results of the prayers of Jesus one day said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray”. I believe the answer to a deeper and more meaningful prayer life is found in studying how, why and what Jesus prayed. That is what this class will be about.

The book of Ruth: The Romance of Freedom - (Room 132, Les Keele)

The book of Ruth is, simply put, the greatest human love story ever. Through this compelling love story, some of what you will learn is:

  • The Character of a Great Woman
  • The Character of a Great Man
  • How to find God’s Will for your Life
  • What’s in a Name?
  • Desperation and Exaltation and More!
  • The Gospel Story in the Old Testament

The class will consist of a video segment followed by class discussion. Due to time constraints, the video portion of the class will begin promptly at 9AM, so come early to get a good seat and hear one of the most passionate and convicting stories of the Old Testament.

The Teachings of Jesus - (College, Room 122, Adam Powers)

Our study will center around some pointed teachings of Christ. How do they govern and affect our walk with Him today?

Wednesday Evening

The Book of Nehemiah - (Auditorium, Jon Brown)

The book of Nehemiah is a historical book covering the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem toward the end of Babylonian captivity around 445 BC. Our goals are to increase our knowledge of the period, relate it to the book of Ezra, and apply its lessons to Christianity today.

Godly Character and Integrity - (Room 132, The Elders)

Character and integrity are demonstrated in the manner people treat each other. If Christians are people of godly character and integrity, they must treat others in the way God emphasizes. Our study will be based upon the foundation of “loving others as we love ourselves.”

Boundaries (Ladies Class) - (Room 126, Patti Musselman)

We will continue our study in the book, “Boundaries”. If you are finding less and less time for God because of our busy lifestyles of work, families, church etc.,  then join us in our study as we look at ways to truly get it all done and placing God first.
